Happy New Year to you and yours!!
Several weeks ago, I was reading the Bible, and I came across a verse that really spoke to me and I wanted to share with you.  The verse is from 3 John verse 4.  "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in truth."  As I read this verse, I was reminded how important it is to pray for my children.  Since the day God blessed us with our children, Roc and I began to pray for them.  We prayed for their salvation and God answered that prayer.  We pray for God to use them and let their lights shine in a dark world.  We pray that God would protect their hearts, minds and bodies. I will never forget the morning of August 30, 2010.  I prayed as I did every morning that God would protect Ro and Noah and keep them from harm.  A few hours later, I was sitting in a staff meeting and heard about a school shooting at Central High School, where Ro was a freshman at the time.  The Lord gave me a peace that Ro was okay.  I remembered praying just a few hours prior that God would protect him and He did.  Prayer is a powerful thing.  I believe in prayer and I pray for my children. I saw a sign one day and it read, "If you are not praying for your child, who is?"
My prayer for my children and for the precious children that God has entrusted to me as a Children's Minister is "that my children are walking in truth".
Remember to tell your children every day that you love them AND remember to pray for them.  God has entrusted them to your care.
